We do recommend replacing your torque converter when replacing your transmission to prevent any contaminants or debris from your old torque converter from damaging your newly rebuilt transmission. That is why, if you purchase a rebuilt torque converter along with your transmission, you will receive an extended 2-year warranty on both items.
