How to Order Your Rebuilt Engine

1. Find the Right Engine for Your Vehicle

Start by using the drop-down menus in the Year/Model filter at the top of the page to select your vehicle. Select Engines as the Category and click the magnifying glass icon to search.

The results will show only compatible engines for your vehicle. For example, if you have a 1983 240D, selecting that model will show you the compatible OM616 engine.

Double-check compatibility: Click “Show Compatible Vehicles” on the product page to confirm your vehicle is listed.

2. Understand Pricing & Core Deposits

Each engine’s product page breaks down the price into two parts:

• Base Price: Cost of the rebuilt engine
• Core Deposit: Refundable deposit (returned when you send us your old engine)

The shipping cost covers both delivery of your rebuilt engine AND return freight for your core.

Add the engine to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can estimate shipping costs by entering your ZIP code, or complete checkout to see final totals.

3. Place Your Order

We accept credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. The “Pay Later” allows you to split large purchases into multiple payments.

During checkout, be sure to:

• Choose a business address (like your repair shop) if possible for easier delivery
• Enter your vehicle year and model
• Include your VIN or full engine number in “Order Notes” to help us confirm compatibility

You’ll receive a confirmation email immediately after placing your order.

Our Rebuild Process

We build engines to order to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Current rebuild times are 3-4 weeks (subject to change based on parts availability and demand).

What Happens During the Rebuild:

Full Disassembly & Inspection

Every component is removed, cleaned, and inspected for wear or damage.

Repair or Replacement

Worn parts are replaced with new OEM or OE-spec components including:

• Gaskets and seals
• Valves and valve train components
• Bushings
• Pistons and piston rings
• Bearings

Reassembly & Finishing

The engine is carefully reassembled, painted, and sealed to factory specifications.

Rigorous Testing

Every rebuilt engine is tested to Mercedes-Benz performance standards before shipping.

Your engine ships in a palletized wooden crate via FedEx Freight.

Delivery & Core Return

Receiving Your Rebuilt Engine

Your engine ships via FedEx Freight. They will contact you by phone to schedule delivery.

Pro Tip: Have your engine delivered directly to the shop performing the installation. This avoids the hassle of transporting a heavy pallet yourself.

Save the pallet and straps! You’ll need them to return your old engine.

Returning Your Engine Core

To receive your core deposit refund, you must return your old engine within 60 days of delivery.

How to pack your core:

• Use the same pallet and straps the rebuilt engine arrived on
• Include all major components (cylinder heads, oil pan, etc.)—same as what came with the rebuild
• Remove any extra components that weren’t included with the rebuilt engine
• Include documentation to help us identify your core (name and billing ZIP code)

You can use our printable core return slip (linked at the bottom of this page) to include with your shipment.

Follow the carrier’s instructions to schedule a return pickup. Once we receive and inspect your core, your deposit refund will be issued promptly.

Warranty & Maintenance

1-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty

Your rebuilt engine is covered against defects in parts or workmanship during the rebuild process.

Note: Warranty does not cover damage from improper installation or failure to follow our instructions.
