Nothing makes your new car purchase truly your own like naming your Mercedes. It’s even more fun if you manage to find the perfect name for your car, one that captures both your personality and your vehicle’s.
But naming a car is difficult, and with so many options it can be hard to come up with good car name ideas on your own. If you’ve already been spending a lot of time trying to think of car nicknames, read on for some inspiration, including a few nicknames from Adsitco customers!
People Names
One classic route to go when picking a name for your Mercedes Benz is to pick a name that would sound relatively normal as a person’s name: a name you could name your child, or see on a coworker’s nameplate.
This still leaves the field pretty open, so a few other criteria can help you narrow it down.
Does Your Car Have a Gender?
If you’re going with an actual name, you’ll want to decide if your car has a more masculine or feminine vibe. It used to be standard to name cars with women’s names, but that precedent is changing. The name you choose can vary from common to the exotic: we have customers with car names as different as “Bob,” and “Bianca”.
Of course, you can also choose a more gender-neutral name for your car if you’re not quite willing to choose either way.
Color Names
Another great starting point for naming your Mercedes is its color. For example, names like “Cherry,” and “Lil’ Red Roady,” are great names for bright red sports cars (and also both names of some of our customers’ Mercedes).
On the other end of the color spectrum, we have also had customers who have named their cars “Old Blue,” or “Sky Blue,” to capture the calming azure energy of their vehicles.
A few other great name ideas are “Mamba” for a black car, “Marshmallow” for a white one, “Mercury” for a gray car, and so on.
We even have a customer whose car is named “Black to the Future”!
Other Names
Of course, when naming your car, the sky’s the limit. You can let your creativity run wild and come up with a moniker that is clever, funny, or cute, depending on your personality and the style of your car.
One of our customers gave their car the classic name “Princess,” and another named his Mercedes “The Beast.”
And one customer kept it simple, and a little tongue in cheek, giving his Mercedes the name “Car.”
