WHAT IS A CORE?
A core is a used or non-working part that can be remanufactured or restored to like-new working condition. A core charge works like a deposit that is applied to parts that can be remanufactured to incentivize the return of an old part that will in turn be restored and sold. Upon receiving your core, the core deposit is then refunded to you. If you do not have a core, the core deposit is not refunded as we will need to purchase a core elsewhere.
Cores returned after 90 days of the original invoice date are subject to a 25% deduction unless prior arrangements have been made.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE PART I’M BUYING REQUIRES A CORE?
Generally, only remanufactured parts have a core charge, but some rare new and used items
have a core charge as well. If required, a core charge amount will be listed in the item’s details. The core charge amount is included in the final price of the part: it is not an additional charge on top of the listed price.
Parts that have core charges include: fuel pumps, fuel distributors, warm-up regulators, Becker radios, engines, transmissions, and fuel tanks.
We do not charge a core price or ask for your old wheels with a purchase of our replica wheels.
HOW DO I RETURN A CORE?
Once you receive your item from us, you can reuse our packaging to send your core back to us.
Make sure to drain any fluids that may leak before packing. To facilitate the speed of receiving your core deposit refund, please enclose a note inside the package with the name you placed the order under, your billing address zip code, and order number (found in the top right corner of our invoices). Alternatively, you can print and complete the “Core Return” identification form below to include. Address the package containing the core to:

CORE CHARGE REFUND
Once we receive your core, we will use the included information you provide to find your order in our system. We will issue the refund to the same credit card or account used to pay for the order. Please allow up to 2-4 weeks for your refund to appear, depending on your financial institution’s policies for refunds. If you do not see the refund after that time, please contact your financial institution first before contacting us.

Return shipping for cores must be prepaid. COD packages will not be accepted.
ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, & FUEL TANK CORES
Return shipping for engine,transmission, and fuel tank cores are included with the purchase of one of our rebuilt units. Return shipping labels will be included in the package, and a freight bill of lading will be included with engine or transmission purchases. As with any other core, make sure your old part is drained of any fluids: the carrier will not accept the package if the crate is leaking and you would be responsible for any damage caused by leaks to any other freight.
After crating up your old engine/transmission, put the enclosed shipping labels on the box,
covering up the old labels. Call XPO Logistics with the phone number provided in your package
to arrange pick-up, or call their national number: 800-755-2728. You will need to provide them the PRO number found on the bill of lading. Once they arrive, give the driver one copy of the bill of lading, keeping the second copy for your records.
For fuel tanks core returns, please notify us by phone at 800-521-7656 or email at [email protected] so we can arrange UPS to pick up the old fuel tank.
